Tales of Lagoona: Orphans of the Ocean has many layers, and it all starts with its story. It is not used simply asset dressing for the gameplay, there is a tale to tell here in this hidden objects game. It begins with a new law enforced by corrupt politicians that need every facility in town to comply with new beauty standards. For this, they want to take the orphanage down and build a mall in its place. To learn more about them you are going to have to unlock the different stories within the game. For now, all you know is that you are helping Isabella, and you just want to repair and refurnish this orphanage so it can follow the new standards set by that outlandish law.
You will soon find that you are not alone in this task, as many fishes from around the pond will come to your aid, guiding you on the best path to get going. It should be mentioned here that the game is fully voice-acted, as should any game that wants to tell a story without losing a grasp on the player’s attention. The performances are all great, giving each character their quirk.
