About free laptop games
Not every game needs a gaming rig
Laptops have come a long way, but most people aren't carrying around dedicated GPUs. Integrated graphics handle plenty of games just fine - you just need to know which ones. The titles here are picked specifically because they run well on typical laptop hardware. No fan noise, no thermal throttling, no slideshow framerates. If your laptop can browse the web and play YouTube, it can handle these.
Battery life matters
Gaming on battery is a different calculation. Heavy 3D games will drain you in an hour or two. Lighter games stretch that to a full afternoon. The puzzle games and solitaire games in our collection barely touch your battery - good for flights, waiting rooms, or anywhere you're away from an outlet. They also won't heat up your lap, which counts for something.
Touchpad-friendly options
Some games assume you have a mouse. Others work fine with a touchpad or even touch screen if your laptop has one. Point-and-click adventures, hidden object games, and turn-based strategy don't need precise aiming or fast reactions. Our hidden object games are especially good for touchpad play - you're clicking on stationary items, not tracking moving targets.
