Mistyvale drops you into the village of Shadowbrooks, where misty streets, glowing lanterns and autumn leaves hide more than 1,000 magical objects. You comb the Haunted Inn, the Magic School and the Enchanted Bakery for items tucked into the decorations. Finding them earns Sweets, and banking enough Sweets unlocks the next set of locations. This hidden object game also mixes in jigsaw puzzles, plus Halloween trophies like silver pumpkins, black cats and crystal owls.
The game is split into five groups of activities. Each group holds three hidden object scenes and one jigsaw puzzle. Scenes do not always hand you a plain list of names. You can search using word lists, silhouettes, jumbled words or mirrored clues, so a second visit to the same street feels different.
You also set your own pressure. Play with no time limit, or switch on a ten-minute or three-minute clock when you want the search to bite. Jigsaw stages scale too, with 4x3, 5x4 and 6x5 layouts, and pieces that rotate or stay fixed. Coins pile up as you move through Shadowbrooks, and Halloween trophies give you collectibles to display.
