About free shooting games
Point and click, but violent
Shooting games are straightforward. Something moves, you shoot it. The genre has been around since Space Invaders and the core loop hasn't changed much - enemies appear, you eliminate them, harder enemies appear. What varies is perspective, pacing, and how much story gets layered on top. Some shooters are pure reflex tests. Others give you reasons to care about the shooting. First-person vs top-down
First-person shooters put you behind the gun. You see what your character sees, which adds tension but requires decent hardware for smooth framerates.
