The story begins in 1827 with William Legrand, a former heir living a quiet life near Charleston. A strange golden beetle and a sheet of symbols spark a quest to uncover Captain Kidd’s buried fortune. Treasure Island: The Golden Bug leads you through cabins, shores, and dark landmarks as the mystery unfolds one clue at a time.
Gameplay centers on finding listed objects and solving mini games that unlock new areas. You examine detailed scenes, collect key items, and follow the cipher toward the dig site. Hints come from careful observation and pattern spotting as you piece together the route to the treasure. The game supports five languages and includes a full journey across Sullivan’s Island.
