World of Tanks puts you in command of historically inspired armored vehicles, with damage models, armor angling, and terrain effects that reward smart positioning. You play as a tank commander pushing directly into 15v15 team battles — no infantry or air units, just tank-vs-tank combat where every shot and repositioning decision matters.
Choose from more than 800 tanks across 11 nations and 11 tiers, from fast, high-view-range light tanks to heavily armored heavy tanks, long-range tank destroyers built for ambushes, and artillery that strikes from across the map. Standard matches run 15v15 on more than 40 maps, including forests, deserts, and urban zones, and typically last 5-15 minutes. Progress through national tech trees for the USA, USSR, Germany, and other nations to unlock higher-tier vehicles, join a clan, and compete for territory on the Global Map. World of Tanks has also won multiple Golden Joystick awards and holds a Guinness World Record for concurrent players on a single server.
