Castles

Develop your Castle into a powerful stronghold that can exert influence over your rivals. Upgrade it according to your playstyle, you can choose over 5 levels of Fortification and 6 types of fortification each having different Defense or Intelligence bonus. In general, defense bonuses improve the defense stats of units that are defending the castle while Intelligence bonuses make it harder for opponents to spy on your castle. You will need to decide which bonus to prioritize!

Lost Arts

You need to discover and master new Lost Arts in order to unlock new buildings and unit types. Start with the House of Scrolls and upgrade this building as much as possible. Prepare your gold, iron and food as discovering lost arts require more and more of these resources as you get higher. Also, your Scribe will give you a new scroll daily so make sure to use them or trade to get scroll sets in order to discover new Lost Arts!

Resources

The three main types of resources are Gold, Iron and Food. Basically, you will be needing them to do everything from units training, to building constructions and Lost Arts. To gain as much resources as possible, make sure to maximise the number of fields you have and upgrade your Farms, Townhouses, Mines and all resource related buildings. Do not forget to upgrade your storage buildings as well such as Warehouse and Barn. Last but not least, you always have the option to raid rival castles for resources!

Strategy

One great strategy that everyone uses is to cooperate with other Lords by joining the Great Leagues of Stormfall. Otherwise, create your own League and make it so powerful that other Lords join yours. The purpose of this is to earn League achievements that gives you an significant edge over other Leagues players such as Skull Runes, Units, permanent modifications to their Castle or Unit statistics, or other features. There are 22 league achievements from the Order of Eldur to the Stormbringers, so make sure to try and achieve each of them.
