The story follows a grim murder in 1886 London as evidence points toward Dr. Jekyll and his dark other self. You step into the role of an inspector who tracks leads through opium houses, foggy alleys, and a hidden basement while the case grows more tangled. Dialog scenes push the plot toward a final reveal rooted in science and deception.

Gameplay centers on finding listed objects in richly packed locations, often with scenes that ask you to collect 20 items before moving on. Hints appear as potion vials that recharge and extra vials can be found in many scenes for backup. Short breaks add variety with mini games like mixing potions, matching fingerprints, rebuilding torn letters, dressing a mannequin, and unlocking a mechanism. You examine evidence, clear each scene, and advance the investigation one discovery at a time.
