The story begins ten years after Rome lands in Britannia. Most of the island is under the eagle, yet the war burns on as Caracatus and the Druids unite the tribes. You play as a rising Roman officer tasked with protecting forts, roads, and villages while uncovering intrigues that threaten the Empire.
Each mission asks you to place and upgrade defenses, manage resources, and counter varied enemy units. You can also take direct action with tools like grenades, tribolos, lightning, Greek fire, gas, frost, and meteor rain. Build eight weapon types, unlock system upgrades, and fit gear that changes tower stats. More than sixty levels and multiple difficulties keep the campaign moving, and weather and seasons change how you plan each map.
