Gameplay

Five years after leaving for the city, Abigail wakes in her childhood bedroom with only a half-formed memory of how she got there. Kiln Bay has moved on, and so have her friends, including a first love and ties that frayed in her absence. She must calm a worried mother, reconnect with a splintered group, and decide if this is a return or a goodbye. The town is built from clay, felt, collage, paint, and papier-mâché, each shaping the people who live there.

Gameplay centers on Azulejo, a folk game played with pictographic tiles whose rules change by neighborhood. You explore, talk, choose, and play, learning house rules through debate, negotiation, and strategy. Tiles combine into sets, trades reshape the board, and contests test quick thinking and social insight. Choices branch scenes and can lead to multiple endings as you master both Azulejo and the stories behind it.
